About The Artist

Miry Clay Pottery was established by Jenny in 2003, and the business in itself has changed form in many ways.  Truth be told though, it really started back in the fourth grade when her class had the opportunity to make pinch pots.  “Yes, I am well aware that mine turned out looking like ‘Charlie Brown’ in every way.”

But at that age, to be able to take nothing but a lump of clay, and make something beautiful (or so her mom said) was rewarding.  Jenny went on to enter pieces of her work in art shows while in high school, winning a scholarship to an art college in Georgia. She declined, not wanting to part with Colorado.  Over the past several years, she has taught others to “make something out of nothing”, including giving instruction to students in a college level class.

Now her journey continues . . . . . possibilities to be explored..
